About me

Kent Blade Works is built on precision, skill, and the right equipment for the job. I trained with the UK Sharpening School under Wolff Industries, a world leader in blade technology. Certification there isn’t just handed over; you earn it by proving you can restore everything from a delicate pair of Jaguar scissors to a kitchen knife that’s been used on brick. That level of training means I can handle every tool with confidence and care.

At Kent Blade Works, we utilise the finest machines available to ensure exceptional results:

Hi-Tu scissor system — designed for factory-accurate convex, semi-convex, and bevel edges.

DT Grinder — for knives, giving a flawless, durable edge for chefs and home cooks alike.

Big Red clipper machine — dedicated to clipper blades, ensuring smooth, reliable performance.

Where appropriate, I also finish blades by hand on Japanese water stones — a traditional craft technique that delivers an edge of exceptional sharpness and feel.

Every item goes through a post-service process: balanced, tensioned, cleaned, and carefully rehoused, so it’s returned ready for immediate use.
